  • Do you wonder if others are struggling to find solutions to the same challenges you are facing?
  • Do you want to refresh your communication skills?
  • Do you want to pose an awkward question to the powers that be?

Your Graduate Reunion, held at your vet school, is for those who qualified in 2018 and provides you with an opportunity to meet up with friends you may not have seen since you qualified. The CPD element of the event uses professional role players, who bring challenging vet/client situations to life which can then be dissected by the audience.

On the day there are representatives from your own school, RCVS, BVA, BSAVA, BVNA, VDS, SPVS, VMG and Vetlife along with an out-of-hours provider. This mix of key individuals from our profession will be able to shed light on any issues that you would like to raise on the day. The day is followed by a dinner and drinks, then a Ceilidh, to which you can bring a partner for an additional cost.

The day's workshop awards 7 hours CPD.

Key Learning Objectives

Although there is a loose structure, the format does allow an audience-led agenda to be followed on the day, with the following learning objectives

  • The difference between negligence and misconduct
  • How to deal with pressure from your boss or clients
  • What choices do I have when the client has no money?
  • How to deal with difficult, angry and distressed clients.
