Thriving in Practice Delegate


This one-day comprehensive workshop will help you to identify and overcome your personal and professional stressors, help build your resilience and improve your time management skills and work-life balance. You will be given practical tips to help make working with others more effective and less stressful, take back control and take on challenges with renewed purpose and energy.

Prior to the course, you will complete your own DISC behavioural profile, the results of which will be discussed on the day and will help you improve work productivity, teamwork, and communication.

Key Learning Objectives:

By the end of the workshop, you will be able to:

  • Identify causes and personal signs of stress, recognise how stress differs from pressure and build strategies for personal resilience
  • List ways of recognising and preventing burnout and compassion fatigue in yourself and others
  • Improve your communication skills and work more effectively with others
  • Enhance your time management skills and get more from each day
  • Develop coping mechanisms to take control and get what you want and need from your career.

Who is this course for?

This workshop is ideal for everyone working in a busy practice team – vets, nurses, practice managers and receptionists will all benefit from the skills learned.
